FUSE is a vibrant and dynamic children’s group within Armagh Elim. It began in September 2007, progressing on from ‘Campaigners’. As a group we felt it was time for a new beginning.

Mission Statement
To ‘light a fire’ of salvation within the heart of each child who comes along, by teaching and showing them God’s love.

Two verses which we base FUSE on are:

"Is not my word like fire" declares the Lord, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?" Jer Ch 23v29

By day you led them with a pillar of cloud, and by night with a pillar of fire to give them light on the way they were to take. Neh Ch 9 v 12

Aims
- Show Christian love to children
- To have fun
- To build up good relationships with the children and be there for them
- To teach them values for life

And most importantly,
- Pray for them that one day a salvation fire will burn within their hearts.

Structure
FUSE is divided into 3 groups:

Sparklers P1-P3
Rockets P4-P7
Dynamite 1st year upwards

Each group runs on a Wednesday evening at the following times:
Sparklers & Rockets 6:30-8pm
Dynamite 8-9:30pm

Our evening consists of the following (varies each evening)
- Open in prayer
- Games (or energy burn off time!!)
- Short message from the Bible
- Guest speakers including police, fire brigade, dietician, missionaries
- The younger groups do art and crafts and cooking
- Sporting activities
- Games tournaments
- Tuck shop and
- Close in prayer.

Outings are organised for each group throughout the year including bowling, children’s indoor play area, BBQs and fun days.

We also decided this year to ‘Adopt a Child’. By doing this we hope to teach the children the importance of giving and sharing and also for them to realise how blessed we are in Northern Ireland. One Wednesday a month, each child gives part of their tuck shop money and also each leader towards sponsoring a little boy.

As a group, one Wednesday night a month, we stay behind after all the children have gone home, to pray specifically for FUSE, the leaders and each child’s Salvation.

Attendance Criteria
You have to be young and willing to have loads of fun!!!!!
